This has got to be one of my most favorite recipes on the planet! This recipe is an homage to my Maryland roots. After all, I am a Maryland girl and I absolutely love seafood! You simply cannot go wrong with this dish. The seafood and cheese give this dip a rich and creamy flavor. And thanks to the bold flavor from the Old Bay seasoning and Worcestershire sauce it’s anything but bland. Impress your guests with this fantastic (and easy to make) East Coast appetizer!
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
8-12 ounces jumbo lump crab meat, drained and checked for shells
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 small white onion, minced
1 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the crab meat and shredded cheese. Fold the crab meat into the mixture. Pour into a baking dish and top with the shredded cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Serve with sliced baguettes or crackers.
