Top 25 Drug Store Beauty Finds of 2015 Under $15

For as long as I can remember I have always had an obsession with beauty products! It is so much fun to try out new products and test new scents and colors. But good quality makeup can quickly break the budget. However while many of my fashionista friends are spending $30, $40, or $50 for a tube of Younique or M.A.C mascara, I am here thoroughly enjoying my $4 tube of Maybelline Great Lash! All joking aside, those high dollar products are great but most woman I know can’t afford them on a regular basis.

That being said, I suppose you could say that my love of “drug store” makeup came out of necessity. And guess what I found out?! So many of the products I have tried work just as well or even better than the high end versions. The list below are my top 25 picks for inexpensive good quality cosmetics that include some classics and a few new products as well. Go ahead, have your cake and eat it too!! 😉

1) Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner – This is one of my new favorites. It glides on smoothly like a gel and smudges nicely for a great smokey eye. It also stays put all day and best of all the easy twist-up packaging lets you ditch the sharpener. $7.45

2) Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover Lotion – This product easily removes any cosmetics on your skin in a single swipe including waterproof mascara. And I love that it doesn’t feel oily and greasy afterward or dry out your skin. $6.23

3) Maybelline Great Lash Mascara – There is a reason why this items is on pretty much every beauty list out there – it works! Maybelline Great Lash has been around forever, and for good reason. Using an eyelash curler and Maybelline Great Lash mascara, you can easily fake the drama of faux lashes for cheap. They even make a clear version to use as a primer on lashes and brows. You can’t go wrong with this one! $3.79

4) Batiste Dry Shampoo – Dry shampoo is one of my favorite products since becoming a mom. Hormonal changes left my hair feeling more oily than normal and this was a great product to help tame the shine in between shampoos. Even better is that this one comes in different scents and colors so that you’re not frantically combing out every last bit of white. Your welcome 🙂 $10.25

5) Burt’s Bees Lip Balm – The original for everyday hydration made with fantastic natural products such as beeswax, vitamin E, and honey. And the lip balms are also available in a variety of tints and flavors to suit your tastes. And an entire line of products specifically made for children. Also worth noting? Burt himself is pretty great too! $2.99

6) Revlon Photo Ready BB Cream Skin Perfector – Being a huge fan of BB creams I was super excited to try this out and I can tell you it did not disappoint. Like most BB’s it’s meant for light coverage, yet the formula is a little thicker than what a tinted moisturizer would be. I use this in the summer as my foundation.  And as an added bonus it has SPF 30. $8.69

7) Almay Intense i-color Shadow Stick – As far as eye shadow crayons go these are pretty superior to any that I have tried. The pigment is awesome and the staying power is tremendous. And each stick is specially designed to complement a specific eye color. Pictured below is the shadow stick for brown eyes. $5.30

8) Revlon Color Stay Whipped Creme Foundation – This stuff is amazing! I thought it would be too heavy for my skin but it is surprisingly light. It’s targeted for medium coverage but I believe it is more like a full coverage product.  Apply the tiniest bit with a makeup sponge and watch how far it goes. 25) Dove Beauty Bar – I don’t normally ever endorse bar soap (unless the ingredients are all natural) but I do have to admit I love Dove beauty bars. The scent is so soft and fresh and they really do moisturize the skin unlike most other bar soaps. There’s a reason why Dove beauty bars were my grandmother’s skin regimen for most of her life. $6.99 (6 pack)
